What can you learn from The Ugly Duckling?

Memo. I created this advice column for children to learn about the sad but encouraging story of The Ugly Duckling. Good literature helps children to enhance their self-esteem. As a child, I loved Hans Christian Anderson’s story “The Ugly Duckling.” Anderson emphasizes that a taunted creature can grow and transform itself into a respected and beautiful creature. Critical literacy allowed me to analyze The Ugly Duckling's Story and find common self-esteem lessons. This column was created based on the following resources:
